Integration Benefits
RxOne Shopify Integration has several benefits:
Product synchronisation between your physical store and your online store allows you to have a single location for product management, saving you having to maintain product information on multiple platforms.
Product specials / promotions will be in sync with your online store to create consistent experience for your customers.
Online store sales will be imported into RxOne giving you daily financial reporting on both physical and online shops.
Integration Fee
RxOne eCommerce store integration is an additional module that requires activating. There is a one-off setup fee and a monthly recurring fee. Please contact RxOne support to obtain a quote.
Shopify Version
All Shopify versions allow API integration; however different versions have different rate limits so please contact Shopify Support to confirm your Shopify plan is suitable for POS integration.
Integration Setup
The RxOne Support Team will log into your Shopify website to create an App to allow RxOne to talk to Shopify. Please ensure you are able to log into your Shopify website when requested.
Integration frequency
Product synchronisation is automated and happens every morning as a background task when you open RxOne. Synchronisation can also be performed at any time during the day as desired.
To synchronise all eCommerce stockcards select ‘Update Stockcard Details on Website’. This will force synchronisation of all eCommerce stockcards.
To synchronise a single stockcard, open the stockcard and select ‘Update Stockcard on Website’.
A confirmation message will appear on your screen upon successful synchronisation.
Product synchronisation
RxOne synchronises the following with your eCommerce store.
Product name
Product Description
Stock on hand
Retail
Images
Specials price
Sales Integration and Delivery Setup
Orders placed and completed in Shopify can be imported into RxOne POS.This allows you to report sales on both your physical store and the online store. A separate ‘End Of Day’ reporting for the online store is also available in RxOne.
After sales have been imported into RxOne staff then uses the RxOne Delivery screen to log the delivery status of each online sale. The delivery screen in RxOne will send a message to Shopify to mark the sales as completed. Note that RxOne Delivery will be setup by the RxOne Support Team as part of the Shopify Integration. Please refer to page 25 of the RxOne Point-Of-Sale Manual.
To import Shopify sales, go to RxOne POS, select ‘File’ > ‘Import Website Sales’. Sales will be imported and finished automatically in RxOne under the staff name ‘Internet Sale’.
How to setup eCommerce stockcards in RxOne
eCommerce - On the stockcard ‘Internet Info’ tab, select ‘eCommerce’ Only stockcards that are checked as ‘eCommerce’ will be synchronised with Shopify. The Bulk Stock Edit Utility allows you to bulk set stockcards as eCommerce stockcards.
Internet shop display name - Enter the ‘Internet shop display name’. This is the product name you wish to display on your Shopify product page. If this field is left blank, the stockcard trade name will be the default product name on Shopify.
Description - Enter the product description you would like to appear on your Shopify page. Check ‘Send Description To Website’. If you do not wish to use the product description from RxOne for whatever reason, then you can uncheck this checkbox. The Description in RxOne can be plain text or HTML format.
Add Pictures - Select ‘Add Picture’ to upload your image from the desired location. The image file type is typically in Jpg, JPEG or PNG format. Multiple images can be uploaded into RxOne stockcards. Use the ‘Move Picture Up’ and the ‘Move Picture Down’ buttons to arrange the order of the images you would like it to appear in Shopify.
Setup Specials
RxOne Specials is part of the RxOne eCommerce integration, however, most eCommerce stores can only accept single item specials.
In RxOne, you can set up eCommerce products using one of the three special types:
Special Price
% Discount Given
$ Discount Given
The eCommerce store displays both the original price (with a strikethrough) and special price. Mark the Special as ‘every day special’ in RxOne if you do not want the product to appear as ‘on special’ but still want to sell the product online using a special price.
Setup Mode
Setup mode allows you to pull the existing product information from Shopify into RxOne, match Shopify products to RxOne stockcards etc, but RxOne will not update the Shopify website until the setup mode is switched off. Setup mode gives you time to prepare the product data in RxOne before going live.
Brand New Shopify Website
If your Shopify website is brand new it is ok to start sending product information from RxOne to Shopify.
Existing Shopify Website
If you have an established website with existing products, you will need to run the matching report to match the existing eCommerce product to an RxOne stockcard. You will remain in the setup mode until there are no unmatched products.
From the ‘Internet Shop Utilities’ menu, select ‘Match Web Site Cards To RxOne Cards’. You will see a screen with a list of matched and unmatched cards.
Check the matched cards and select ‘Save Selected Matched Cards’. For any unmatched cards where ‘Suggested RxOne Stockcard’ is blank, manually match to an RxOne stockcard by typing the name of the stockcard in the ‘Search’ field, then confirm and save the match.
