We recommend that your Alpaca printer is set up by someone with technical experience. These instructions assume that your install is uses the standard Brother printer. For hardware issues you will need to contact your supplier.
Network
If the printer is going to be used by multiple computers, make sure it is connected to the network. Do not Share the printer from a computer.
Printer Driver
You need to use Brother PCL5e driver. Alpaca foils use A4 Long foils and this is the only driver that has this style pre-loaded. You can download the driver from:
Open Windows Control Panel and select Devices and Printers
Right click on the printer that is being used to print foils, and go to the advanced tab. Select New Driver.
Add the Brother PCL5e driver and click Apply.
Click Printing Defaults and Advanced
Select A4 Long as paper size and click OK
Click Apply and OK
You will be returned to the Printer Properties Windows, click OK to exit
If A4 Long is not selected your foils will not print correctly
