Keyboard Navigation
We recommend that users get familiar with keyboard navigation.
RxOne uses standard Windows navigation keys to move around the various screens and modules. A keyboard shortcut is shown on screen by underlining a letter on the tile or button. On the most part the underlined letter means that you can hold down the Alt key and press the underlined letter. In the help files we show this as <Alt+N>.
Examples of keyboard strokes:
<F1> Displays Help files
<Tab> will move the cursor through all the fields on a screen. In dispensary you can press Tab to move through every field and edit.
<Enter> will move the cursor through the essential fields for that screen. When dispensing, it will move the cursor to the yellow highlighted fields.
<Up Arrow><Down Arrow> In keeping with conventions from older DOS based systems, the Up and Down arrows move the cursor up to the previous field, or down to the next field.
Top Menu items. Many screens have Menus at the top which give extra functions. The most common instructions in these menus have a shortcut key convention, which will usually use the <Ctrl> key to access.
<Esc> will take you to the previous screen
RxOne Home Screen
RxOne’s Home Screen will open when you first run the program. The screen is divided into sections.
Menu Items
The top of the screen, in dark blue, contains the menu items for RxOne. These are:
Main Menu - a multi layered menu that gives access to Reports, Utilities, Help files and other links. You may find it beneficial to go through these to get an idea of the tools and reports available through RxOne
RxOne Messages - a record of messages sent and received
Home - displays the main home screen
Dashboard - graphical display of statistics for today and the last 30 days, with a comparison to a previous period.
Scheduler - a calendar system to allow you to book appointments and set recurring tasks
Search Bar - you can use this to search for any modules or reports within RxOne instead of navigating through the Main Menu directory.
Tiles
The main section of the screen displays a number of tiles, giving you direct access to RxOne’s main modules.
Dispensary, Sales, Orders and Stock Cards are displayed first. Generally these are the most used modules within RxOne
The remaining tiles will update according to the modules used by individual users.
Alerts
The right of the screen displays Alerts and Notices. These are used by programmers and technical support to help diagnose any problems.
Notices
RxOne sends notices to this part of the screen. These notices are for pharmacy staff and let you know about any changes that may affect RxOne. We recommend that these get checked on a regular basis.
Multi-Tasking
Because RxOne is Windows based, it supports multi-tasking. This means that if you are in one screen and wish to look at another screen, you can open the second screen without exiting what you are doing.
