Forcing an RxOne update

Occasionally RxOne may not update correctly on a computer. In these cases RxOne might not start or work correctly. Follow these steps to force the update.

If RxOne is Running

Summary

  • Close all RxOne modules except the Home Screen

  • In the Home Screen: Click Additional Options > Program Update > Download and Update All Files

  • Wait while files are updated. RxOne will close and re-open with updated files

Detailed Instructions

If RxOne is running but some modules aren’t working correctly you will need to close all modules and run Update from the RxOne Home Screen.

1. Close RxOne Modules

Any open apps or RxOne modules will be displayed at the bottom of your screen on the RxOne taskbar. A blue line under the icon indicates that the program is running.

  • Select RxOne modules that are running and close each of them down by clicking the Exit button in that module.

2. Open the RxOne Home Screen and run the update

  • Click on the RxOne icon , either on your taskbar or Desktop

  • The RxOne Home Screen will open

  • Click on Additional Options in the top right of the Home Screen

  • Click Program Update > Download and Update All Files

  • Select OK to the pop up window

 

If RxOne is not opening

  • Close all RxOne modules as above

  • Click on the Windows Icon. In Windows 10 this will be found on the bottom left of your screen on the taskbar. In Windows 11 it may be near the middle of the screen.

  • Type RUN. Note you will not see a text box to type into. This will appear when you start typing

  • Click on the Run app

  • In the window that opens:

    • New Zealand sites: Type \lots\UpdateNow.bat

    • Australian sites: Type \PhcyPro\UpdateNow.bat

  • Allow RxOne to run updates and restart RxOne once it is finished.
