The Scan Barcode report is a flexible tool that can be used for a variety of purposes. Examples could include bulk texting patients whose prescriptions are still waiting for collection. When you open the report you will initially see a blank report. Click Scan Script . You can scan the script receipt, bag label or individual prescription items.

Once you have scanned all the labels you wish to scan, click OK to stop scanning.

Open

You can sort the report by any column by clicking on the coloumn name. Clicking on Full Name will sort the list by patient surname. You can also move columns by clicking the column name and dragging it to a different position.

Print

You can print the list by clicking Print and selecting Print options.

Export

The Export button gives you a range of options to export the list to other formats, or to send text messages and emails.

Send Text Messages

Click Export and then select Send Text Messages to send text messages to the people on the list.

Recommended settings:

• Target Audience - Person Main Mobile Number

• Communication Consent - Dispensary

• Send only one message per person

Select your Text Message template. If you wish to preview the message select Preview and Send Text Msg’s, otherwise click Send Selected Text Msg’s without preview.

Other Export Options

You can export the list to a variety of common formats depending on what you will be using the list for.

Example of a use for this Report

Clearing Older Uncollected scripts off shelves

Some Pharmacies may need to clear space on their script collection shelves. Using this report you can scan the bags into an uncollected scripts box, print the list of names in the box to make it easy to find if the person comes to collect. You could also text the list to remind them that they have an old script to collect which may be discarded if they dont collect soon.
