RxOne Compound Pro UpdateJan2025
RxOne Compounding Update January 2025
Over the next few days, you will receive an update containing the following:
Inhouse Production Batch Stock
For a patient used for recording batch stock (Inhouse Batch, Inhouse Production etc.), all scripts will automatically have the ‘Batch Stock’ ticked if a condition called ‘Inhouse Production’ is added to the patient profile.
Right click on the ‘Special Conditions’ and select ‘Add Special Condition’.
Select ‘Inhouse Production’ and click ‘OK’ to add the condition.
All new compounded scripts will automatically have the ‘Batch Stock’ ticked.
Add Inhouse Production Requests to the Basket queue
This feature allows staff to create a basket for batch stock to be made, assign to a staff member or a staff belonging to a staff group and to show on their basket queue to be actioned.
For example, a pharmacist may create a basket for 100 melatonin 1mg capsules to be made and assign to a particular technician to action.
Open the ‘Receive Script’ screen (can be accessed from both Point-Of-Sales or Dispense).
Enter the name of your inhouse production patient i.e. Inhouse Production using the ‘Patient Search’.
Select ‘File’ > ‘Add In Formulation Request’.
Enter the formulation name you wish to be made, click ‘OK’.
Confirm your selection and click ‘OK’ again.
Enter the quantity to be made and click ‘OK’.
Assign the basket to a particular Staff or Staff Group to process, i.e. Technician group. Click ‘Save’ to save the basket.
When a staff member belonging to that staff group logs in, the basket will appear on their basket queue waiting to be actioned.
Note: This basket is only visible to the assigned staff member, or a staff member belonging to the assigned staff group.
Basket can be reassigned to another staff member or staff group if necessary, by highlighting the selected basket and click ‘Set Status’ and change the ‘Staff Member’ or ‘Staff Group To Process’.
Highlight the basket you wish to process and select ‘Dispense Selected Basket’.
Click ‘Dispense Basket’ from the patient screen again to process the basket.
Enter the pharmacist’s name as the prescriber.
Click on the ‘Drug’ field will load the formulation on the screen.
On the ‘CompoundPro’ screen make sure the Price Option is using the ‘Cost’ price as you normally do for making Stock Batch.
On the ‘Script’ screen make sure the ‘Batch Stock’ is ticked. Refer to page 1 on how to set ‘Stock Batch’ by default by using the ‘Inhouse Production’ condition.
Finish entering the details as you would for a standard compounded script.
Technician then makes up the product as per usual.
