Setting up Staff

All staff need to be set up in the Modify Staff Utility. To enter the utility go to the RxOne Homepage

Main Menu → Tools → Utilities → Staff Utilities → Modify Staff or type Modify Staff into the search box

New Staff Member

Once in the Modify Staff Utility click New to create a staff member profile.

  • Enter their initials - they will enter these initials when accessing many parts of RxOne, including Point of Sale and Dispensary

  • Enter their details, including any registration details. Display Name will be the name that shows on receipts and dockets

  • Enter their country or state under State

  • Ticking Staff Manager will give access to the Modify Staff Utility

  • Select the access rights for the person. Give rights based on the person’s responsibilities. It is best not to restrict access to much. Ensure that you give the person enough access to perform their work without requiring assistance.

  • Staff Group - select the appropriate staff groups for them

  • In the Additional Details tab, you can add additional contacts and addresses for the person.

Passwords and Barcodes

These are optional.

If you wish to set a password - click Change Password. Be aware though that these can slow down processes such as putting through sales. It may be better to look at using Barcoded Cards for your staff so they can simply scan to process sales or prescriptions.

HPII

Automated Controlled Drug Registers require all pharmacists to enter their HPII. This can be found on the pharmacy council website:

Enter the pharmacists HPII in the Modify Staff Utility

Deleting Staff

When a staff member leaves it is important to deactivate their access to the system. Tick Deactivate Staff member. This will keep a record of the staff member and remove their access to systems.
