Cash up Utility
[May 2018]
This is for recording the float and the cash takings.
You can either have the cashup utility screen come up automatically when you do an EOD cutoff or you can add in the cashup later on.
The values can be entered either as quantity of the denomination or as dollar value of the denomination.
Suggested methods of using the Cash up Utility:
Scenario A – Cash up to be done by accounts/office personnel in the back office
On each till, pharmacy staff should do the end of the day (EOD) as usual i.e. Do the EOD off and print out end of day. Then bag the money from the till with the EOD print out and give to accounts/office personnel.
Accounts/ office personnel, then go to POS, Reports, EOD, and Display Previous EOD.
Highlight the last EOD for each till.
Click on ‘View/Add Cashup for EOD’.
Enter in the ‘Start Float’. Then enter in the ‘Total Cash in Till’ and the ‘End Float’. The ‘Total for Banking’ will be automatically calculated.
The end float on this EOD will become the start float for that till for the next EOD.
When ready to add cashup to the next EOD, repeat the process above, but you won’t need to enter in the start float again as the end float on the last EOD will transfer to the start float for the next day.

Scenario B – Cash up done in the shop when end of day is printed.
The first time you use this utility, add in the end float to the last/previous end of day (EOD) for each till. Do this by going to POS, Reports, EOD, Display previous EOD, Highlight the very last EOD for the till
Click or ‘View/Add Cashup for EOD’
Enter in the End Float
This will become the start float for the next EOD you do for the till.
Then Tick ‘Show Cashup screen when do EOD (Global)’. At the end of each day, when EOD cut off is done, the utility will come up on the screen for you to enter in the details of the cash up.
When the cashup utility comes up, the start float should already be filled.
Enter in the End Float and the ‘Total Cash’ in Till’. The Total for banking will be automatically calculated.
