Dispensing Repeats

For convenience there are several ways to select the major functions such as 'repeat'. From the main dispensary screen select 'Repeat';

  • press <alt +R> keys, OR

  • <down arrow> to highlight Repeat and press <enter>, OR

  • Click on the 'Repeat' button.

  • Either enter the patients name, OR the prescription number.

Selecting items for repeat

  • Choose the items by number (or by clicking with the mouse if you prefer).

  • Press the <down arrow> key to scroll back further and select earlier items.

Full/partial history display?

For an Original Script you will always see the full history whereas when dispensing a repeat you can choose whether to see only the items for which repeats remain and have not expired, or all items. If set to display remaining repeats only, it may appear that script history is missing, so turn it on if you prefer to see all history every time.

To switch on/off partial/full history during repeats

View on the menu bar, highlight 'Show full history on repeats' and press enter to tick/untick it.

Repeating items selected

When finished selecting items, select the Finish button. For convenience there are several ways of doing this;

  • press F key.

  • <alt + N> keys, OR

  • click this button with the mouse

  • <tab> to highlight it and press <enter>

 The first of the selected items will be displayed and the 'Finish' button highlighted. Normally just press <enter> to accept the repeat, but you can make changes to any field necessary then 'Finish'.

Quick repeats

If you do not wish to view the repeats, press <enter> repeatedly. Eg, select three items, press Finish, then <enter> <enter> <enter> and they will flash through without waiting.

Finish with More if you wish to also dispense Original items for the same patient.
